A beautiful hummingbird alebrije created by celebrated artist Jacobo Angeles. Jacobo is recognised as one of the grand masters of Oaxacan wood carving and works closely with his wife Maria to produce exquisitely carved and finely painted pieces. The craftsmanship and quality of their pieces are second to none.
Their decorative style uses pre-hispanic Mixtec and Zapotec iconography and has inspired many other artists. Their aim is to make the Zapotec culture known through the figurines they create.
